Who is responsible

Information you choose to send
If you contact us by email, we receive your address and the information in your message. We use it to respond, handle editorial or correction requests, manage a potential business relationship, or meet legal obligations. Depending on the enquiry, the usual basis is our legitimate interest in operating the publication, taking steps you request before a contract, or compliance with law.
VIP waitlist
If you choose to join the Golf Gossip Club VIP Waitlist, we collect your email address and a consent record. The consent record includes your consent choice, the time it was made, the Golf Gossip Club website as its source, and the version of the consent wording shown to you.
We use this information to operate the waitlist and, only where you have opted in, to send future Golf Gossip Club email updates, including golf holiday deals and offers. Our lawful basis for this use is your consent. The checkbox starts unticked, and your email address is saved only after you actively give that consent.
Brevo is our email-service provider and processes the waitlist information for us. Joining the waitlist does not currently trigger an automatic email: no welcome email, confirmation email, campaign or automated email sequence is enabled.
Editorial and commercial systems
The site uses a server-side Supabase database for its editorial workflow. Public visitors do not create accounts through the site. If affiliate links are enabled, following a labelled link may create a server-side record of the partner destination, link type and time. The implementation does not attach a visitor account identifier, email address or user ID to that record.
After an affiliate link sends you to a merchant or network, that organisation handles information under its own privacy notice. See our affiliate disclosure and cookie notice.
Sharing and retention
We do not sell personal information. Email enquiries are handled through Gmail, provided by Google, editorial data is handled in Supabase, and VIP waitlist information is handled in Brevo. Information may also be disclosed where reasonably necessary to comply with law or protect legal rights. Email correspondence is kept only as long as reasonably needed for the enquiry, relationship, record-keeping or legal requirements. VIP waitlist information is kept until you withdraw consent or the waitlist is no longer needed, subject to any record we must retain for legal purposes. Anonymous commercial-click records are retained only while useful for operating and assessing partner links.
Your choices and rights
Depending on the circumstances and applicable UK data-protection law, you may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to certain use. You may withdraw your VIP email consent at any time for the future and ask us to remove your waitlist information by contacting us at info@golfgossipclub.com.
Contact us first so we can consider your request. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office through ico.org.uk. This notice describes current practice and may be updated as the site changes.
