Sources come first
News leads are checked against suitable sources before drafting. Source links are treated as leads and evidence, not as copy to reproduce. Older quotations and interviews must be dated and placed in their proper context.
Original editorial judgment
We aim to explain why a story, destination or product matters. Recommendations must add useful context, comparison or analysis. We do not publish retailer descriptions as editorial copy.
Testing and experience
We say that something was personally tested, worn, played or visited only when that is true and can be supported. Otherwise, a guide is clearly based on research, specifications, verified information and editorial assessment.
Images and commercial links
Published images require recorded usage rights and any required credit. Affiliate links are activated only after programme approval, labelled near the link and kept separate from editorial approval. A commercial relationship does not guarantee favourable coverage.
Human approval
Automation may help gather leads, prepare drafts and suggest headlines or suitable imagery. Every finished article and image must be reviewed and approved by Golf Gossip Club before publication.
